Drawing inspiration from the natural world as well as it's cultures, Hillary's work demonstrates blending of global, traditional styles with an abstract twist. Hillary is an artist as well as an art historian who has been inspired and informed by the works of art around her and the artistic traditions she has researched. Painting primarily the classical subjects of floral, landscape, and pure abstracts, there are tones of nature and a feeling of tradition in all of her work.
